Grand Prix de l’Age d’Or
Three hours of endurance
Amanda Hennessy, Robert Dubler, Chris Schober, and Bernhard Bühler joined forces to take on the classic event. Four drivers with three cars, with a mandatory driver change. Starting the race in the ’56 Corvette, Amanda exited the car only to jump right in to the ’63 Triumph TR4. Robert mirrored this action, starting in the ’71 Renault Alpine and finishing in the ’56 Corvette. Chris and Bernhard rounded out the remaining two seats in the Alpine and TR4 respectively.
“Racing two cars in the same race was exciting!” Amanda said in an interview after the race. “From staring in the powerful left hand drive Corvette only to jump out and get into a right hand drive TR4 was interesting. I’ve very proud of the great team effort to make all the pit stops and driver changes work perfect. Great driving by my co-drivers, and excellent job done by all!”
